Fifty years ago, a group of community leaders founded a remarkable, nontraditional honors college on Sarasota Bay. From those early roots, New College grew to become one of the country’s most innovative colleges, praised by The Wall Street Journal and Mother Jones alike.

In honor of our founding in 1960, New College is reaching out to community supporters, friends, alumnae/i and the parents of current and former students to pay tribute to New College during its 50th Anniversary year in 2010-2011 with a special, one-time gift of $1,960 or more.
