NCAA Chapter Events 2010-2011
The NCAA chapter program is designed to strengthen relationships among alumnae/i and the college. Chapter
events provide opportunities for alums to participate in
social, recreational, and educational programs that
engourage professonal and social networking.
We are always looking for alums who are interested in organize an event in their area! Staff and NCAA board members provide information about NCAA and the benefits, services, and advice that will help make the chapter event a success.

Sunday, August 8, 2010 - San Francisco: Join fellow New College alums for an afternoon in Golden Gate Park, starting with a picnic lunch at the San Francisco Botanical Garden, followed by a trip to the California Academy of Sciences!
Saturday, August 7, 2010 - Orange County: Come to a potluck brunch at the beautiful abode of Robin Day Glenn '65 and Forrest Beeson! Don't forget to bring along your best dish to share! Also, look to see if you have received an evite in your email to help coordinate what food to bring and carpooling.
Sunday, August 1, 2010 - Boston: New College takes a Charles River Boat Cruise! Hosted in part by Larry '87 and Liz '87 Vernaglia, and Vern '70, and Alyson '70 Woodworth. Feel free to prepay with a credit card by contacting Alum Coordinator Morgan Boecher, or pay at the dock!
Saturday, June 26, 2010 - Tampa Bay: Alumnae/i Night with the Rays! Join New College alums at a Tampa Bay Rays game featuring a post-game concert by the Barenaked Ladies! This is NCAA's third Rays game event, and we always have a blast!
Tuesday, June 29, 2010 - NYC: Please join NCAA at the home of Foundation Trustee Keith & Linda Monda! This promises to be a very special alum gathering. Please bring any prospective students!

May 12 - Austin, TX: Come smell the flowers with New College at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center! Join fellow New College alums, as well as Foundation President & CEO Andy Walker, and Jessica Rogers, VP of Alumnae/i Affairs!
April 25 - Tallahassee, FL: Join fellow Tallahassee alums, New College Professor & State Representative Keith Fitzgerald, and New College student legislative interns to reflect on student experiences in Tallahassee, recollect with fellow alums, and reconnect with your alma mater! Hosted by Jono Miller '70
April 23 - Miami: You're invited to a casual evening of hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and, of course New College, hosted by Robert Allen ‘74 at his law firm at the Four Seasons Office Tower. Join fellow New College alums, as well as Foundation President & CEO Andy Walker, and Jessica Rogers, VP of Alumnae/i Affairs, to reconnect, relax, and learn about the future of your alma mater!
April 17 - Chicago: Join fellow Chitown New College alums, NCF President “Mike” Michalson, and Foundation President Andy Walker for a potluck-style alum gathering at the home of Steve Jacobson ‘71! Please bring a dish or drink to share!
April 11 - DC: Join fellow DC New College alums for a picnic potluck alum gathering at Malcolm X Park, hosted by Jordan Clark '04 and Brooke Denmark '04. Let’s enjoy the best time of the year in DC! Please bring a dish or drink to share - see you there!
March 27 - Atlanta, GA: Join fellow Atlanta New College alums, NCF President “Mike” Michalson, and Foundation President Andy Walker for a potluck-style alum gathering! Please bring a dish or drink to share! Hosts will have burgers and hot dogs to grill - and make sure to wear your best kickball clothes! See you there!
March 13 - St. Petersburg, FL: ARTpool Gallery & Vintage Boutique in downtown St. Petersburg will be hosting an out-of-this-world event: The MAD HAT art & fashion pARTy from 7pm-12am. You must wear a hat to enter, all ages are welcome and there will be a fantastic hat fashion show, art show and prizes for best hats. It was be a fabulous and super fun Novo Collegians shindig. Come hang out and get ready for a rock'n night with a "wall" type aura, great music (including Madonna wall favorite "Like a Prayer"), fun folks, and an awesome eclectic atmosphere.
December 3/American Anthropological Association: Philadelphia, PA - New College Alum Gathering in Philadelphia at the 2009 AAA Conference! Open to conference attendees & Philadelphia residents! Please join us at this informal gathering, featuring NCF students, alums, Foundation President Andy Walker, VP of Alumnae/i Affairs Jessica Rogers, and faculty members Uzi Baram & Maria Vesperi! There will be a cash bar and food!
October 31/Halloween: Rochester, NY - Featuring trick-or-treating, corn maze, and a spooky-fun campfire & cookout! (Don't forget your Halloween costume! If you're stuck for ideas, just come as your first- year NCF self...that should be scary enough!)
